American Symbols Poetry

This week we've continued our study of the American Revolution, as well as examined how the point of view and perspective of a piece of writing can change the way a story is told. We read a beautiful poem called The Flag. It inspired us to try this ourselves! We researched some famous American symbols and wrote poems in first person point of view.

Here are our poems:
Aidan's The Bird
Kaden's The Statue of Liberty
Colin's The Statue of Liberty
Savannah's Remember Me? Freedom.
